Aired last night during the Super Bowl, Drake and Diddy starred in Time Warner Cable’s latest ad spot, “Grandma’s House.” Granny must be loaded, too…as the commercial caught the cable company a whopping $4 million for the coveted time slot. What is MMM? I’m going to assume it means Money Makin’ Mitch, an homage to the 2003 movie Paid In Full – the story of Harlem’s iconic drug dealers Rich Porter, AZ and Alpo. Last night after the Super Bowl, Diddy and his famous friends paraded around in their fur coats, all using the hashtag #MMM, and even spotted filming while stopping at Harlem’s Jumbo’s Hamburger Place (formerly Willie’s Burgers.) All said and done, Diddy had A$AP Rocky, Nelly, French Montana, Jermaine Dupri, Bow Wow, Ashanti, Meek Mill, DJ Khaled, Jadakiss, Rick Ross, Lil Durk and Cassie stuntin’ in their furs for whatever he was doing. “Ima start stuntin on you n*ggas again!” Diddy captioned one photo. “Remember I told you all! You have been warned! It’s Mitch B*tch! Puff Daddy live from NY #MMM Coming soon!” Ooh, we’re getting that 90s Puff back? I’m not mad at that one bit! Check out the pics in the gallery. Hmm! Word on the street I’m a suspect! is that Diddy may have proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Cassie! Taking to Instagram over the weekend, Diddy posted a photo of a gorgeous ring, with a caption that read, “Baby do you like it? I just want to get you wat you Like ! I just wanna Mk you smile.” Cassie immediately commented on the photo telling him that it’s “perfect” and she’s “definitely smiling,” and was then seen rocking the ice on her ring finger as the Bad Boy couple made their rounds for Super Bowl parties last night. Bad Boy Records Closing Down?
For the last few months, word on the rumor mill is that Diddy will be shutting down Bad Boy Records. As far as the longtime label’s employees, some are said to have been laid off, while others he has shifted around to his many other ventures, including Ciroc/Blue Flame Agency, Revolt TV and his newly acquired Tequila. But what about the artists? So far, reports state that French Montana and Janelle Monae are going to be absorbed into Bad Boy’s distributor Interscope Records, while there has been no information given on Machine Gun Kelly, Red Cafe, his girlfriend Cassie (who I’m sure will be fine regardless,) Los or YouTube sensation Megan Nicole…who we didn’t hear a thing from after she signed, but whatever.
