NBA: Magic Johnson Says the Clippers Won’t Play For Anybody Named Sterling
While the NBA is confident that it can remove Donald Sterling as owner of the Clippers, his wife Shelly Sterling believes she has the right to maintain ownership of the team. Magic Johnson who’s name was mentioned during Donald’s racist audio says no Clipper will play for the team if Shelly remains the owner. Magic is also one of the potential buyers of the team.

In his first big task as the NBA commissioner, Adam Silver came down hard on LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling by banning him for life from the league and fining him $2.5 million, the most allowed. According to Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman, the punishment would have been less severe if Sterling were an owner in the NFL.

With Sterling being banned and the president of the Clippers taking a leave of absence, the league today appointed Dick Parson as CEO of the organization. Parsons is the former CEO of both Time Warner and Citi group. Irony is at work here on such a high level.
