L.A. Reid Reveals The REAL Reason French Montana’s ‘MC4′ Was Pushed Back
French Montana’s sophomore album, MC4, was set to drop on August 19. However, just two days before, French took to Twitter to reveal that the project had to be pushed back for sample clearances. It was quite strange, considering that the album had already been pressed up and shipped out, so it would result in a loss of money for the parent label, Epic Records. It’s also pretty unheard of to have gone that far ahead with an album without first getting the proper clearances for samples. As suspected, that wasn’t the actual reason.
