NFL: Victor Cruz Says George Zimmerman Won’t Last a Year Before the Hood Catches Up to Him

The not guilty verdict in the George Zimmerman case left many people upset and confused, feeling let down by the justice system.  I noticed many people on twitter indicating that the “hood” would carry out justice and Zimmerman wouldn’t remain alive.  In fact Zimmerman’s lawyers and family members said several times that he received numerous death threats and is in fear for his life.  New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz seemed to share that sentiment and posted it to his twitter account.  Read more after the jump.

There have been countless threats that rioting and mass mayhem would occur if George Zimmerman gets off on the two charges he faced for the shooting of unarmed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. Last night, everyone’s worst nightmare came true and angry protesters in Oakland began lashing out. After a Florida jury acquitted George Zimmerman of the second degree murder and manslaughter charges he faced for the killing of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, the first thing that came to many people’s minds were Martin’s parents.
