NBA: JR Smith Hopes the Warriors Double Team LeBron James So He Can Get Open Shots

J.R. Smith is a gunner and he’s not shy about it at all.  In fact Smith recently said, “I’d rather take a contested shot than an open shot any day … It’s kind of boring when you take open shots”.  Well for the upcoming NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors, Smith is hoping to have more open shots and here’s how he’ll get them.

With so much time between the Conference Finals and the NBA Finals, each team has had a lot of time to prepare for the other.  That also means the anticipation and trash talk has heated up.  Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green is notorious for his trash talk and he learned it from his own mother, Mary Babers.  While LeBron James believes he’s unstoppable, Green set him straight, reminding him that he’s just a mere mortal.


NBA: The New Orleans Pelicans Are Expected To Name Alvin Gentry Their New Head Coach

When the New Orleans Pelicans fired Monty Williams a couple of weeks ago, freeing up their head coaching position, many candidates began salivating at the chance to coach a team with a budding like Anthony Davis fresh off his first playoff birth. Looks like Golden State Warriors assistant coach Alvin Gentry is getting the chance, as he is expected to be named the Pelicans next head coach.

Say what you want about Mark Jackson but he was truly a class act on Wednesday night.  Jackson played an integral role in bringing the Golden State Warriors from the bottom of the Western Conference to the top.  Unfortunately he was fired last year due to issues with the front office.  He returned to his previous job as a color commentator and was chosen by ESPN to cover the Western Conference Finals between the Houston Rockets and his old team the Warriors.

The Golden State Warriors have become a hot ticket and for their close out game against the Houston Rockets, they had a special guest in the building.  The one and only Kanye West came through to cheer on the Dubs at the Oracle Arena.  At first he was seen yawning but soon got into the game, cheering on Stephen Curry and even cracking a smile for the cameras and as he looked up at himself on the big screen.
