(Video) Jhene Aiko Visits the Apollo to Sing for Bernie Sanders

The sultry songstress, Jhene Aiko, recently visited Apollo Theater in Harlem, NY to support Senator Bernie Sanders.  Aiko performed a series of songs from her collaborative album featuring rapper, Big Sean titled, “Twenty 88.”  She performed “Space Jam,” “W.A.Y.S. and “Eternal Sunshine” with the help of a live pianist according to Vibe magazine. Jhene Aiko actually closed the show after the panel discussion.

Damn! Lil Mama Arrested For Driving Without A License

Lil Mama was arrested in her hometown of Harlem this morning, after cops discovered that she had no license when they pulled her over for going 10 miles over the speed limit at 4am. When officers ran her info, they discovered her license had been revoked and took her into custody. Not the worst offense, but she might want to get that taken care of upon her release!

Hip Hop Hall Of Fame And Museum Set To Open In Harlem

After years of pushing for Hip Hop to have it’s own Hall of Fame, it has finally been decided that The Hip Hop Hall of Fame and Museum will open in Harlem on the borough’s historic 125th Street later this year. In a press release about the long awaited Hall of Fame, Dove Entertainment, who is running the press for the Hall stated,

“The community of Harlem has a rich history of arts and cultural contributions. The Harlem Renaissance has influenced artists, poets, scholars, educators, politicians, fashion, entrepreneurs, entertainers and community leaders from New York City throughout the world. Hip Hop music and culture will now join that legacy in Harlem as the Hip Hop Hall of Fame + Museum is set to open up its offices on the historic 125th Street.”

Guess Which ‘Black Ink Crew’ Star Was Arrested For Child Support!?

It looks like VH1’s Black Ink Crew cast is going through some serious legal woes! The head honcho of the shop, Ceaser Emanuel, was busted during a photo shoot by the NYPD on a warrant for failing to pay his child support. According to a witness, Ceaser was tatting some fresh ink on a girl’s booty when the cops barged in.
