Part of the reason why the Cavaliers couldn’t hold off the Golden State Warriors in the finals was because Lebron barely had any help. One of the culprits was Iman Shumpert, who seemed as he couldn’t find the bottom of the net the whole series. Unhappy fans seemed to put the blame on Shumpert’s famous girlfriend, Teyana Taylor and flooded her instagram with accusations.
Cleveland Cavaliers guard Iman Shumpert likes to moonlight as a rapper and he isn’t letting those aspirations go. On Monday, ESPN’s First Take played an intro dubbed “First Take Open REMIX,” and it featured bars from Shump about how much he enjoys the show, despite knowing that a bad game will get him “a bad name.”
J.R. Smith threw some not so subtle shots at the New York Knicks for trading him and Iman Shumpert. He finally explained his Instagram post and said outright that it definitely wasn’t a joke.
Iman Shumpert is in full playoff mode and he “ain’t about the games” right now. During an interview with reporters, someone decided to ask Shumpert if he could level his hair and Shumpert didn’t appear to be pleased at all, even asking security to get that guy away from him. Check out the video of the encounter after the jump.
While the internet has been making jokes about JR Smith and Iman Shumpert making the playoffs while Carmelo Anthony sits at home, Anthony has actually been keeping in contact with his old teammates and is very excited for them.
Lil B is at it again! Lil B has sent warnings to Kevin Durant and his former teammate James Harden, that were ignored by the two superstars and seemed to face some misfortunes afterwards. Well, after he sent one to the Cavs, it looks like Iman Shumpert wasn’t taking any chances after the Cav’s made the finals last night.
The Cleveland Cavaliers destroyed the Atlanta Hawks 118-88 on Tuesday night, completing a four-game sweep in the Eastern Conference Finals. The Cavaliers were of course celebrating, sharing laughs and hugs including former Knicks J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert. The two players were struggling with the Knicks before Phil Jackson traded them to the Cavaliers. The trade seemed to be just what they needed as they were both vital parts of the Cavaliers success, especially Smith who put up some big clutch shots. Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James used to be heavily compared to each other so with two former Knicks going from can’t make the playoffs to the NBA Finals with LeBron looked pretty bad for Anthony. Twitter took the opportunity to go IN on poor Melo. I’m sure he’s comforted by the MILLIONS in his bank account but any real player wants to win.
When JR Smith & Iman Shumpert were with the Knicks earlier this season, it seemed like every story you heard about them was negative or when their names came up it was because of a possible trade. The media and fans in the big apple really did their best to make these players feel uncomfortable and unwanted, despite the many fans now who are lying through their teeth about supporting them. Even Phil Jackson didn’t think much of them, trading them to Cleveland for virtually nothing. Well sometimes things are a blessing in disguise and leaving one of the worst teams in the league for one of the best was definitely a come up.
Iman Shumpert’s new record “Offs”, yes short for playoffs, is all about getting his teammates hyped and ready to go after a title. All the lyrics refer to coaches, teammates, and the goal at hand for the Cavs. Check it out and let us know what you think. Shump seems to be in such a better place right now, I wonder why, lol.
