Billboard’s Top 10 Album Sales, Week Ending 6/22/14 … Congrats To J. Lo On A #8 Debut!

Lana del Rey landed her first number one album this week with Ultraviolence, moving 182k units since its release last week. J. Lo also had a debut in the top 10, with her new album A.K.A. coming in at number 8 with 33k sold. In comparison, her last album, 2011’s Love?, debuted and peaked at number 5 with 83k. Billboard’s Top 10 Album Sales, Week Ending 6/8/14 … Congrats To 50 Cent On A Top 5 Debut!

50 Cent’s independently released Animal Ambition fared decently on the charts this week, debuting at number 4 with 47,000 copies sold. It’s his first release since being on Interscope and thus having no major machine behind him to push the project, so coming close to 50k isn’t too bad! Congrats, Fif! Get the full top 10 below.


Top 10 Album Sales, Week Ending 6/1/14 … Congrats To Mariah Carey On A #3 Debut!

Mariah Carey’s semi-surprise album Me. I Am Mariah. may or may not have fared so well on the charts (depending on how you look at it,) coming in at number 3 with 58k sold in its first week. Billboard’s Top 10 Album Sales, Week Ending 5/25/14 … Coldplay Makes Biggest Debut Of 2014!

Coldplay’s new album Ghost Stories marks the group’s fourth number one album…as well as the biggest sales week of 2014 thus far! The project sold 383,000 copies in the week ending May 25, easily taking Eric Church’s crown, who previously held the title with “The Outsiders” moving 288k units in the week ending February 16. After she attempted a karate kick to Jay Z’s chest, there were memes left-and-right making references to Solange’s musical career. ‘Solange Who?’ and ‘The Title of That Last Track Was?’ were among the few. Billboard’s Top 10 Album Sales, Week Ending 5/18/14 … MJ Debuts At #2 With Posthumous Album!

Rock duo the Black Keys nabbed their first number 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart this week with the release of Turn Blue, debuting with 164k copies sold. They edged out the legendary Michael Jackson’s posthumous Xscape, which came in at number 2 with 157k copies sold, though still becoming MJ’s tenth top 10 effort. Get the full top 10 below!
