Jodeci Hits Number 1 On Adult R&B Songs For The 1st Time In 22 Years!

It looks like Jodeci is making a come back and in a MAJOR way! According to Nielsen Music, the foursome has topped the Adult R&B Songs chart for the first time in over 22 years with their brand new single “Every Moment”. The single comes from their album “The Past, The Present, The Future” which actually hit number 2 in April. Also, let me remind you that was the first album released from Jodeci in over 20 years, so to pop back on the scene after such a huge break and kill it like that is kind of a big deal. I know all of you ol’ school music lovers remember their very first hit “Lately”, which was ahead of the game at the number 1 spot back in September of ’93. Whew, time flies!

Whoa, This Could Be HUGE For J. Cole!

J. Cole’s sophomore album Born Sinner debuted at number 2 on the Billboard charts its first week out, and held the position in its second week as well, moving in front of the album that had bested him the week before, Yeezus. Week 3 may be his best yet, however, as Billboard reports that Born Sinner may be shifting to number 1! It’s looking to move around 60k copies, but we’ll know for sure on Wednesday. That’ll be dope!
