Cool! ‘SLC Punk!’ Sequel To Begin Shooting This Summer With Original Cast…And A Popular Rapper!

I know my fellow 80s and 90s babies are going to love this one – the 1998 cult classic “SLC Punk!” is officially getting the sequel treatment! “SLC Punk 2: Punk’s Dead” will begin shooting next month in Salt Lake City, Utah, and unlike a lot of remakes that often fail because none of the original cast sign back on – the gang’s all here! Original writer-director James Merendino is on board, as well as original cast members Devon Sawa, Michael Goorjian, Adam Pascal and James Duval, who will return to reprise their roles of Sean, Heroin Bob, Eddie and John the Mod, respectively. New to the mix this go-round is Ben Schnetzer who will play Heroin Bob’s son Ross, Hannah Marks and Sarah Clarke as the new female leads…and Machine Gun Kelly as a character by the name of Crash! MGK has been heavy into acting as of late, securing a role in the forthcoming film Blackbird, as well as an as-of-yet unknown film that he tweeted about earlier today. Go Kels!
