Q-Tip Named Kennedy Center’s First Artistic Director Of Hip Hop

Just last year, Kendrick Lamar performed at The Kennedy Center. Alongside the National Symphony Orchestra, K. Dot put on an amazing performance tracks like, “These Walls,” “i,” and “Alright,” off his album To Pimp A Butterfly. Now, Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts has just named legendary rapper and producer Q-Tip, the artistic director for hip-hop. Additionally, hip hop has earned permanent spot in the organization going forward. Kennedy Center’s press release stated;

“Q-Tip will establish a dynamic, new program that will stretch across all disciplines, bringing the historic roots, contemporary expressions, and transformative power of Hip Hop to the [Kennedy] Center and local and national audiences.”

She has the beef with Azealia Banks,She was threatened by the hacker named anonymous, Q-tip schools her for about two hours straight now she is pleading to a judge because of an ex boyfriend.Geez this has been a full week for the “Fancy” rapper. Iggy Azalea is pleading with a judge to block her ex-BF’s attempt to force her back to Texas. She says he’s violent and she fears for her safety. There was also the lil beef between Snoop Dog and rapper Eminem made a diss lyric about her. Can TI help iggy get out of this one?

After Azealia Banks spoke with Hot 97’s morning crew, she caused a great debate involving racism and hip hop. Of course, Iggy happened to have been the center of that debate, due to the two having a well-known and on-going beef. Following the interview, some artists were not feeling Banks and other artists, like Q-Tip, had her back. “@IGGYAZELEA hiphop now was FOR EVERYBODY!! All of those who cld relate to the root, the spirit, the history, the energy.. It reached YOU,” Q_Tip tweeted. “@IGGYAZALEA the music was undeniable! It moved from NY N became national and even GLOBAL,” he continued on in a two-hour long session. You know you can’t come for Iggy without the king homie sitting in a corner. Now Q Tip of legendary hip hop group A Tribe called Quest (No there not called “Quest” there name is “A Tribe Called Quest”)and Solagne have came together in order to defend the Harlem MC rapper immediately. Legendary Queens Zulu nation member Q Tip, Solagne Knowles and Odd Future Represented Tyler The Creator were of a couple artists in the music industry that displayed a little public admiration for Ms. Banks after her recent interview with Hot97 where she was very critical of Grand Hustle CEO T.I., Grand Hustle First Lady Iggy Azalea and a couple others currently in the music industry.
