The hype surrounding Kobe Bryant’s final game in the NBA came at a great time for the Lakers because it made people, at least temporarily, forget about the drama with D’Angelo Russell and Nick Young and the whole snitching incident between them. It is likely that Young won’t be back next season with the Lakers as they look to Russell to lead them into the future but it brought back memories of two other famous Lakers teammates bickering over a snitching incident of their own. Shaq & Kobe’s relationship soured real bad after Kobe snitched on him to police in Colorado during his interviews regarding the rape charges he was facing at the time.

The usual crew from “Inside The NBA” wasn’t available to keep us entertained and laughing so the reserves had to resort to gimmicks to make us laugh and it kind of worked. Shaq was the only regular member of the show on air this week, so with no Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley or Kenny Smith, TNT brought in a mechanical bull and you knew Shaq would be eager to try it. Turns out though, Shaq was pretty much to damn big to even get his feet off the ground and fell within an instant every time. The show was brutal and boring to watch other than this.

Kobe Bryant is one of the all time greatest players in NBA history and in most cases that would mean everyone would have loved a chance to play on his team, except that’s just never been the case when it comes to Kobe. In fact, marquee free agents over the years have practically gone out of their way to avoid even talking with the Lakers, let alone signing with them. Sure it could have to do with Kobe’s personality or his win or die attitude, which rubs some players the wrong way but according to numerous agents for NBA players, it’s something more personal that has caused some of the better players in the league to avoid Los Angeles despite the numerous off the court reasons to go there.
