Word hit earlier this week that before it could even air, Shawty Lo’s reality show on Oxygen about his life with 11 children from 10 different women had been cancelled for its negative depiction of African-American stereotypes. Since then, some outlets were reporting that was false and the show would still air. There were a few people getting a little excited at the fact that this show MIGHT have been cancelled. Sorry to hurt your feelings (&& my own), but the show is still on. An Oxygen rep told All Hip-Hop that the show being cancelled is FALSE. “This rumor is simply untrue. The project remains in early development,” the rep says. It’s set to premiere in the Spring.
