San Antonio has been the league’s most consistent franchise for going on 18 years now, but two of the three players that have been in place for much of the team’s recent success — Duncan and Ginobili — are in the final years of their respective contracts, and could very well choose retirement at the conclusion of this season. If that happens, the Spurs aren’t going to pursue a long rebuild through the draft. They’re instead expected to go hard after one of the top unrestricted free agents that will hit the market this summer.

One of the best moments of the night during the Cavs and Spurs classic game last night had nothing to do with the actual game itself. A young Spurs fan, sitting pretty close to the court obviously does not like Lebron James and he wanted the King to know it. The little guy tried with all his mite to flip off Bron with two middle fingers before the boy’s father jumped in and told him to knock it off. Not sure if Bron even noticed but it was pretty hilarious.

Kyrie Irving played out of his mind last night in a game against the Spurs that had an NBA Finals vibe from the start. Irving finished the game with a Cavs franchise record 57 points, including an amazing game tying three pointer at the end of regulation to send the game into overtime. From there Kyrie continued to take over as he outplayed Tony Parker and made Lebron and his no headband an after story. This game is pretty much the game of the year up till this point. Kyrie’s 57 points was also the NBA high this season.

DeAndre Jordan attempted to put on a one man show last night against the Spurs. He hurt the feelings of Marco Belinelli with a vicious throw down, that was literally more of a throw down than a dunk, but still left Marco looking up at the arena ceiling. DeAndre was feeling good after that because a short time later he attempted to jump over the seven-foot Tim Duncan, and almost pulled it off. Had he finished the dunk it would have been one of the best dunks in history!
