However, after a severe car accident in 1989, his larynx was crushed and his budding rap career came to a screeching halt. Now, during a recent interview, the D.O.C proves his voice his has returned. (Photo) NFL: Dolphins Head Coach Cancels Practice, Takes Entire Team To See “Straight Outta Compton”

Joe Philbin is trying to relate to his players or just earn brownie points, either way I’m sure they aren’t complaining. According to Miami Herald columnist Armando Salguero, Philbin decided to cancel a very boring part of practice and instead took the squad on a field trip to the movies to see Straight Outta Compton. This is a make or break year for him as head coach and he may just want to bond better with some of the guys. He better hope these same guys show up on Sunday’s once the season starts. Another ‘Straight Outta Compton’ Is Coming, And It Will Focus On Snoop, Tha Dogg Pound & Tupac

Straight Outta Compton has been so successful in theaters, people are already working on its sequel. Tha Dogg Pound’s Daz Dillinger tells TMZ that their movie will pick up where N.W.A. left off, following the careers of himself, Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, Kurupt and Warren G. Though not exactly Straight Outta Compton 2, this is set to be called Dogg Pound 4 Life. Neither Dr. Dre nor Ice Cube will be involved, but Cube has given the guys his blessing. As for casting, the SOC cast won’t reprise their roles, and this time around, Dr. Dre’s son Cutis will play his dad. Not to be a pessimist, but this sounds like pipe dreams on behalf of Tha Dogg Pound guys and that it won’t be nearly as big as Straight Outta Compton. Just me or nah?

‘Straight Outta Compton’ Will Be #1 Again This Weekend…Just Not In Compton

Straight Outta Compton exploded in the box offices last weekend, raking in an unprecedented $60.2 million and landing at number one for its debut. Looks like it wasn’t just beginner’s luck, either, as early forecasts predict they’ll easily take the number one spot again this weekend! The N.W.A. biopic is expected to bring in around $30 million in its second week, as they’ve added an additional 243 theaters in the U.S. to meet exhibitor demand. That brings the total number of theaters to 3,000 now…but zero of them are actually in the city of Compton. And no, it’s not that Compton isn’t supporting their hometown heroes…it’s simply because they don’t actually have a movie theater!

Dr. Dre’s History Of Domestic Abuse Was Depicted In Early Draft Of ‘Straight Outta Compton’

Dr. Dre’s ex-girlfriend and baby mama had mixed feelings about being left out of the N.W.A. biopic ‘Straight Outta Compton.’ She said in a recent interview, “Why would [Dr.] Dre put me in it?” adding, “I mean cause if they start from where they start from – I was just a quiet girlfriend who got beat up and told to shut up.” However, according to director, F. Gary Gray Dr. Dre’s history of domestic abuse towards Michel’le and Dee Barnes was included in the early drafts of the script. Hit the jump for more.
