Arab League Approves Sanctions Against Syria
The Arab League has voted to approve sanctions against Syria, calling for the Syrians to end their deadly eight-month crackdown on dissent. 19 of the League’s 22 member nations approved the sanctions which would cut off transactions with the Syrian central bank along with stopping Arab government funding for building projects in Syria.
