Travi$ Scott is having a pretty great week. After achieving his first number one album with his sophomore effort Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight, the Texas native has just signed a worldwide publishing deal with Grand Hustle Publishing/Universal Music Publishing Group. According to Billboard, this new deal will encompass all of his previous work, and all of his work going forward.
Yesterday morning, an energetic Travi$ Scott took over Hot 97’s Ebro In The Morning to discuss his new album, Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight (which is on pace for a number one debut.) I must say, I haven’t seen Trav this talkative in quite some time! During the interview, he discussed why he made such an intricate album title, his creative process for the music, watching Jay Z record, why he idolizes Kid Cudi, writing for other artists and more. Check out the full interview below! (P.S. No, I was not hungover! I was wearing sunglasses because I had a migraine and you know how light affects that! LOL.)
Over the weekend, Travis Scott at last dropped his highly anticipated sophomore album, Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight. The Antidote rapper rolled out a new visual promoting the project. Travis appropriately had Brian McKnight lay down some vocals and piano chords for the promo. McKnight gives a beautiful melody to the short song, clashing with the scornful feeling of the title.
What could be the lead single for Tinashe’s sophomore album has arrived. Listen to “Joyride” featuring Travi$ Scott below by downloading the Funk Flex App for iOS & Android for free.
