The USC Trojans have fired coach Lane Kiffin not six hours after dropping to 3-2 after a blowout loss to Arizona State. Trojans athletic director Pat Haden broke the news to Kiffin after the team’s charter-flight arrival back in Los Angeles early Sunday morning after the 62-41 loss at Tempe, Ariz., the school said in a statement on its website. Talent runs deep in this family I guess. Snoop Dogg ( or should I say Snoop Lion ) son Cordell Broadus, who will graduate high school in 2015 is being offered multiple big time College football scholarships. And word on the street is this kid is not just getting offers that come with being the child of a celebrity, he is the truth! It does not matter how famous your parents are, if you aren’t big time on the field, schools like LSU, Oregon State, USC, Tennessee and others are not going to waste a scholarship offer on you. He is the #7 ranked prospect at his position of wide receiver in the entire country! Yeah, the boy can ball. He is 6’3, 180 pounds and runs the 40 yard dash in 4.5 seconds. David Petraeus, the former CIA Director finally takes some time out to speak in public since his resignation for the very public affair with his biographer. Petraeus was a guest speaker at at a dinner for veterans and ROTC students at USC. Before he assisted in the honoring of veterans and soldiers, he apologized for his actions leading up to his resignation and he apologized to his wife, Holly. Another Tragedy: 4 People Shot On USC Campus; 2 Suspects In Custody
Another day, another tragedy I have to report on. Last night, a “Halloween massacre” of sorts occurred at the University of Southern California, with 4 people shot by a man after he’d gotten into an argument with someone else. The man he was arguing with was the target of his shooting, but three other bystanders were also caught in the crossfire. Two men were arrested, however, as Asst. Chief John Thomas of the USC Department of Public Safety believes another man was the shooter’s accomplice. Thomas believes this was “totally an isolated incident” and will proceed with classes as scheduled today. The main victim is currently listed in critical condition, while the three others suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Our prayers are with the USC campus and community! Marisa Mendez
