Mario Chalmers’ basketball ties will come full circle when the Miami Heat guard hosts an NBA lockout charity exhibition game Dec. 1 in Anchorage, Alaska.

Drawing from each phase of his basketball career, Chalmers has assembled a roster of players with ties to his time as a prep star in Alaska, as a national champion at the University of Kansas and as a pro in South Florida.

“It’s official folks,” the Heat free-agent point guard posted on his Twitter account Thursday night.

The Dec. 1 game will be played at Sullivan Arena, which seats 7,987. The NBA has already canceled games though Dec. 15 due to the lack of a collective-bargaining agreement.

Among those committed to the game are Chicago Bulls forward Carlos Boozer, the league’s other player from Alaska, who played at Douglas High in Juneau; former Kansas players Brandon Rush, Marcus Morris, Markeif Morris, Julian Wright and Cole Aldrich; current Heat teammates Chris Bosh and Dexter Pittman; former Heat teammates Daequan Cook and Michael Beasley; as well as DeAndre Jordan, Terrence Williams, John Wall, James Harden, Eric Gordon, Nate Robinson, Spencer Hawes and Iman Shumpert.

Heat guard Dwyane Wade, who is close to Chalmers, was non-committal due to primary-care responsibilities with his two school-aged sons in South Florida.
