Kenner has cited rapper Lil Wayne for high grass and weeds at his 10,000-square-foot mansion in the gated Place Pontchartrain subdivision. The Code Enforcement Department issued the ticket to Dwayne Carter, the New Orleans-born singer’s given name, sometime between Feb. 26 to March 2, according to a list released by the city.

The home at 408 Rue De La Riviere is on sale for $1.7 million. Listed as a “celebrity” mansion, the house has five bedrooms, five bathrooms, two half baths and a “beautiful, spacious open floor plan.”

“It’s an immaculate property,” listing agent Lincoy Moliere said. “It’s in great condition. It’s going to make somebody very happy.”

Moliere said he holds open houses at the property every Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. He wouldn’t comment on the citation or on whether Lil Wayne currently lives there.

Among the house’s amenities are a four-car garage, views of Lake Pontchartrain, a theater and movie room, an entertainment bar, a pool house, a fitness room with rubber floors and a salon room with hair bowls. The master suite has a fireplace with his and her baths and a steam room sauna and Jacuzzi.

The most recent code violation was at least the fifth that Kenner says it has discovered at Lil Wayne’s place. In 2007 and 2008, the city put liens totalling $3,635 against his property for previous citations for “grass, weeds, litter and stagnant pool,” according to court records.

He bought the house for $1.75 million in 2006, court records show.

Other liens placed against the house, according to court records, were $3,373 in 2007 for Place Pontchartrain Homeowner’s Association dues and $190,216 in 2008 for unpaid Louisiana taxes in 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003 and $5.6 million in unpaid federal taxes from 2008 and 2009.
