The New York Jets have granted Drew Stanton his wish, dealing the backup quarterback to the Indianapolis Colts.

Terms of the trade were undisclosed, as the Jets announced the deal on their Twitter page.

The move follows the Jets’ delayed acquisition of quarterback Tim Tebow from the Denver Broncos, which they are expected to announce in a news conference Monday.

Stanton, who signed a one-year, $1.25 million contract last Friday to be the No. 2 quarterback, had asked to be traded or released after Tebow was dealt to the Jets on Wednesday night, sources have told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
