Coach Mike Woodson announced the return of guard Iman Shumpert.

From Jared Zwerling of ESPNNewYork.com:

“He’s been cleared,” coach Mike Woodson said after Saturday’s practice at the team’s training facility. “He’ll practice on Monday and if we get the two practices in — for sure one in London and there’s no setback — he’ll be cleared probably to play in the Detroit game.”

The Knicks will play the Pistons in London on Thursday.  Shumpert went down with an ACL injury during the Knicks first round playoff game against the Miami Heat last April.  He’s since been rehabbing and eager to get back in the game.  I’ve witnessed him working hard during the Knicks pre game shootarounds and he looks ready to go. The Knicks could definitely use him as he made a name for himself as one the team’s best defenders and hustle players.
