Since the all-star break, J.R. Smith can’t seem to catch a break. First as the Knicks were being destroyed by the Indiana Pacers, Smith was thrown out of the game for arguing with refs. Then a couple days ago, some inappropriate text messages with a high school girl were leaked. To see the story about him and the high school girl click HERE. He has no one else to blame for that one. He should not be in contact with girls that younger regardless. But now rumors of a in-team argument are being talked about. Read more after the jump.

Smith also had an incident with the Knicks’ mild-mannered assistant coach, Herb Williams. In the first half, Williams and Smith exchanged angry words on the bench during a timeout. After the game, Williams’ anger seemed to carry over.
As Smith talked to a media scrum, Williams walked over and ordered Smith to take his headphones off while he was addressing reporters. Smith’s headphones were draped around his head. Smith took them off and Williams shook his head in disgust as he walked away.
If you know the Knicks, you know it takes a hell of alot of get Herb Williams angry, but it seems Smith was able to do that. You might think it is just an argument with a coach and that happens all the time in sports. True, but anytime you upset a coach that much that they are still angry with you the next day like Williams reportedly was, that is a problem. It already has been a bad week for Smith, he needs to chill out.
