Beyonce is taking over everything, she’s on the cover of your favorite magazine, she’s selling out shows, her face is recognizable all over the world. So finding out that Bermuda informally named a street after her is no surprise. Beyonce exemplifies what an entertainer aspires to be, it’s no wonder so many young girls look up to her as a role model. The block is now named Beyonce Boulevard informally by the natives, a footpath that leads to the Bermuda National Stadium. There’s a pretty cool story about how that particular path got its name. Apparently when Beyonce performed at the Bermuda National Stadium in 2008 they had to clean up this same pathway which was at the time a construction site. After the show the locals coined it Beyonce Blvd. and the name stuck. A sign was put up to commemorate the space. The name is not recognized by the government but it’s still cool that people landmark that place just by Beyonce’s presence.
