According to reports although Apple is very successful overall it it not as popular with first time smartphone buyers. Although the percentage of first time buyers interested in buying an iPhone is higher than that of those wanting to buy a Samsung, Apple wants to expand its reach.

Apple wants to be a person’s first choice when it comes to investing in a new smartphone.
