Is this story for real? Can anyone imagine Donovan McNabb bullying people? I damn sure can’t, but then again I do not know him the way teammates did. A former Philadelphia Eagles player came out this week and made reference to McNabb bullying him and making his life “a living hell”. Well Donovan seems caught off guard by the accusations. Shawn Andrews, who was with the Eagles for seven years and made two pro bowls came out this week with the comments about McNabb. He said that McNabb “was degrading to me and spread rumors.” Among the rumors, Andrews said, was one that he was gay. Andrews was a very good player for the team before he was released in 2010, but had other issues, including back injuries and his 2008 refusal to report to training camp. Andrews told Sync Weekly that he was struggling with depression. When he did report to camp, he apologized in front of the entire team. McNabb, he said, “was rolling his eyes at me the whole time.”

McNabb fired back “That is ridiculous. I don’t know what comments you expect to get from me, but that is news to me and completely false. For me to bully anybody, that sounds unbelievable.”

What Andrews said in my opinion falls pretty short of bullying. Perhaps Andrews was more sensitive than other players to McNabb’s jokes, which he is known to joke around alot with teammates. For what it’s worth, other Eagles teammates from that time frame said that never saw any negative actions from McNabb towards anyone.
