Wayne’s Carter V is scheduled to drop October 28, and has said this would be his last solo project. However, Wayne then revealed that he would be dropping another LP titled Da Other Album a few months after. So with the The Carter series possibly coming to an end, Young Thug wants to pay homage to the New Orleans rapper, and by calling his first solo debut, The Carter VI. Maybe.
MTV News caught up with the “Stoner” rapper while on the set for a Rich Gang video in Atlanta on September 11 and asked him about calling his album Tha Carter VI.
“I dunno, ’cause Wayne’s coming out with more albums,” Thug told MTV News while on set for a Rich Gang video in Atlanta on September 11. “I don’t know if he’s gonna name one of them Carter VI. It depends on what he names his album.”
So with the lane open, Young Thug plans to capitalize of this if possible. “Carter VI to X, he did one to five, I’m gonna do six to 10,” he said.
