LeBron James has played a ton of basketball during his career, and now nagging back and knee injuries have kept the King off the court the past eight games. With the Cavs struggling to stay afloat, James remains a game-time decision for a Tuesday night tilt against the Suns.

LeBron, perhaps needing to play, claims the long layoff has been the toughest thing he’s dealt with during his career.

He said he was “a little sore, a little tight” Tuesday morning, following his first practice in a while on Monday, though his highly public jaunt from Phoenix to Dallas for Ohio State’s national championship victory Monday night would seem to indicate he intends to play.

“It’s the most difficult thing I’ve been through,” he said.

James also said “I hated the fact that we were playing some decent ball when I went out and we just dropped a lot of games when I went out. Hopefully if I can make it back tonight or very soon we can get back to our winning ways.”
