Obama Responds to Drunk Drone Crash

So we’re going with the “Blame It On the Alcohol” on this one…Obama has responded about the incident which has drawn the Secret Service, Defense Department and “National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency” together after it’s been revealed the Man Who Crashed Drone Into White House Says He Was Drinking.

Man Who Crashed Drone Into White House Says He Was Drinking after a failed attempt to fly his own “personal” drone from a house east of the White House ended up a security nightmare. (Yes, the “personal” drone is a thing now)! The story goes the man (who’s identity is yet to be revealed) was flying a two-foot wide “recreational quadcoptor” over the POTUS residence and grounds before it crashed on it’s south side.

The Man Who Crashed Drone Into White House Says He Was Drinking after being initially interviewed by the Secret Service on Monday, who say he’s been fully cooperative. The Secret Service has basically chalked it up to “recreational use of this device,” meaning #JordanShrug–they’re really out here with these drones, bruh. In an interview with CNN’s Fareed Zakaria Obama was quick to say they need to get a tight lid on this ASAP:

“The drone that landed in the White House you buy in Radio Shack,” he said, comparing the drone to cyberspace and saying that U.S. laws and regulations still need to catch up with new technologies. You know that there are companies like Amazon that are talking about using small drones to deliver packages. … There are incredibly useful functions that these drones can play in terms of farmers who are managing crops and conservationists who want to take stock of wildlife,” Obama said. “But we don’t really have any kind of regulatory structure at all for it.”

…Y’all not just gon have stuff flying over and crashing into my house!!! Basically…which makes all the sense in the world. If crashes into the White House are the beginning “fails” of the growing drone industry, what fails will we see next???
