A day after hitting the Summer Jam stage, Funk Flex got a chance to sit Trey Songz down and discuss his relationship with August Alsina – including calling August on the one-year anniversary of his brother’s death to inform him of his remixing, “I Luv This” – how his career began, a blue ’88 Coupe (with a grey door) he used to drive, his Angels with Heart charity, and much more. “I remember going to school with my mother,” Trey mentions about the charity and scholarships that he’s given away to mothers going through the single-parent life. “Ion really f**k with Trey [Songz] right now,” August Alsina tells Rap-Up TV. “We don’t get along.” When the R&B crooner sat down to go over the album, Testimony and how Trey Songz and Chris Brown got on the remix to “I Luv This S**t,” he disclosed a beef between himself and Trey. When egos come into play, a person can be turned OFF! “If you show me that you this person, day one, you should always be this person,” August continues.
