Buzzfeed has put together some images of what deceased music icons like Biggie, 2Pac, Aaliyah, Left Eye and more would look like now in 2013…but I’m a little disappointed. A lot could have been done with this, but it seems like they had a lazy intern put the photos together. Most of them look pretty fake and not believable, though there are a couple that will make you nod your head and say “wow.” Check them out in the gallery and let us know your thoughts!
Legal Battle Rages Over Rights To Aaliyah’s Music Royalties
Sadly, this is far too common with musicians that are no longer with us. A publishing company is fighting over the rights to Aaliyah’s songs, suing a record company for allegedly selling Aaliyah’s music on the web without permission. Reservoir Media Management filed the lawsuit against a company called Craze Productions, claiming Craze has been illegally selling songs from Aaliyah’s albums “Aaliyah” and “One in a Million” albums on iTunes. They say they are the sole owners to the songs after acquiring the music rights in 2012, so Craze needs to be blocked and pay up. We’ll keep you updated!

Today is producer, songwriter and rapper Timbaland’s birthday. Tim made a name for himself working with Magoo then artists such as Aaliyah, Missy Elliot, Jay-Z, and more. Taking a page out of Drake’s book, The Game got a tattoo of a “Dia De Los Muertos” of an artist who is no longer with us on the left side of his ribs. The Compton rapper took to his Instagram to flaunt the picture and to announced that he will be adding a “Dia De Los Muertos” version of Aaliyah on the right side. I wonder what made him pick these two to get a tattoo of? Check out the pic of the tat in the gallery.
