In the short 27 years of her life Winehouse accomplished so much in her career. In total she racked in an outstanding 25 awards, 7 of which were Grammy’s! An Amy Winehouse Biopic Is In The Works, With Producers Eyeing THIS Actress For The Lead

An Amy Winehouse biopic is in the works, and it will tell the tale of her rocky road to success, up to her tragic passing in 2011. In talks to play the soulful singer is actress Noomi Rapace, who you may remember from her breakout role in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, and more recently, Prometheus and Child 44. The film’s working title is simply Amy Winehouse, and it will be written and directed by Irish filmmaker Kristen Sheridan. Music rights are often a hurdle with these biopics – hence the hold-up with the long-awaited Tupac one, but reports say producers are already in talks with Amy’s father, Mitch Winehouse, who controls her estate.

Amy, the documentary about the life of Amy Winehouse, may have been shaded by her family and former boyfriend, Reg Traviss, that has not stopped its release or the upcoming release of the film’s soundtrack. September 14th is a very special day for numerous reasons. Not only was Nas born – who is one of the most legendary emcees of our time – but he also shares his special day with the late great English songbird, Amy Winehouse. Before Amy passed, the two were reportedly very good friends, hence their collaboration on “Cherry Wine (Remix)” and her tribute song to the Queensbridge native, “Me & Mr. Jones,” which appeared on her classic Back to Black album. Throughout Nas’ career, he gave us Illmatic, which is one of the most influential Hip-Hop albums to date along with helping pave the way for younger rappers to prosper. Amy Winehouse’s Boyfriend Fires Back About New Documentary ‘Amy’

Reg Traviss, Amy Winehouse’s boyfriend at the time of her death, is extremely upset. He claims Kapadia the director of the Amy documentary, manipulated the material to serve his own personal gain, rather than reflect the larger truth about the singer. As previously reported Winehouse’s family also blasted the way the soul singer is depicted in the upcoming documentary.
