NBA: Jason Kidd Not Only Confesses To Purposely Spilling Drink, Also Says It Was Worth It

Brooklyn Nets head coach Jason Kidd needed to pull out a win over the Lakers and with no timeouts left to draw up a play he thunk fast and came up with a plan.  While holding a drink he told Nets’ guard Tyshawn Taylor to “hit me”, spilling the drink and giving him that extra timeout while workers cleaned it up.  Kidd initially denied he did it purposely even though the video clearly shows him saying “hit me” but after a $50,000 fine levied by the league, he fessed up.

The Nets vs. Heat “rivalry” is definitely one to keep an eye on.  With the addition of Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Jason Terry (all Lebron haters) to the Nets, things have heat up even more.  On Friday night the Nets hosted the Heat for their home opener at the Barclays Center.  Before the game tipped off several New York media members of course asked Lebron questions about the Nets, by the third question Lebron said he wouldn’t answer anymore and gave a funny reason why.
