Former New York Knicks player Charles Oakley was arrested and charged with three counts of assault and one count of trespassing after Knicks owner James Dolan called security and Oakley got physical with them.  Soon after the incident, the Knicks released a statement saying Oakley behaved in an inappropriate and abusive manner and they hope he gets help.  Chris Paul, president of the player’s association, tweeted out support to Oakley.  LeBron James and Dwyane Wade posted support as well on their Instagram accounts.

Charles Oakley says he has no idea why he was kicked out of Madison Square Garden before the altercation turned physical with security Wednesday night.  Oakley was charged with three misdemeanor counts of assault, all third-degree, and one count of criminal trespass, a third-degree misdemeanor.  After he was released from police custody, Oakley sat down with a friend from Jimmy’s NYC restaurant and gave his side of the story.

Charles Oakley is known for his toughness back when he was a player in the NBA and he’s still the same enforcer.  Oakley was not happy with security outside of the Cleveland Cavaliers locker room after Game 7 on Sunday night. As he waited outside the room, USA Today’s Sam Amick captured him on video. Oakley can be heard telling security guards “Touch me, see what happens.”  He continued to dare them to run up and of course no one did.

Charles Oakley was NOT happy with Fat Joe after the Bronx rapper revealed Notorious B.I.G. was talking about Anthony Mason on his song “I Got a Story to Tell.”  Oakley felt Joe was disrespected his deceased friend and former Knicks teammate.  Joe is apologizing yet again, this time to Oakley.

Fat Joe might want to keep his head on a swivel next time he is anywhere in the vicinity of Charles Oakley because the former Knicks star is not happy with him. As you know by now, Joe was on ESPN’s Highly Questionable last week, where he revealed the infamous Biggie song “I Got A Story To Tell” was about Anthony Mason. Puff then confirmed that news this morning but Oakley feels they aren’t being honest and is wondering “why now”?
