NBA: Mavericks’ Chandler Parsons & Coach Rick Carlisle Arguing About His Weight

During the offseason the Dallas Mavericks swooped in with a three-year, $46 million offer for Chandler Parsons.  The Houston Rockets decided not to match as they considered the deal “untradeable”, and didn’t think Parsons was the star they needed to complete their Big 3 of James Harden and Dwight Howard.  Anyways the Mavericks got their man but now coach Rick Carlisle has a little buyers remorse if Parsons doesn’t get his weight down.

Poor Raymond Felton, the basketball gods are forever not in his favor.  After a rough stint with the New York Knicks, Felton was traded to the Dallas Mavericks which he seemed really happy about.  Felton even declared that he would show everybody he can still play as an “elite point guard” (as if he ever was one).  Anyways during the Mavericks preseason game against the Oklahoma City Thunder last night, Felton landed on Anthony Morrow’s foot and suffered an ankle injury. He was carried off the court within the opening minutes.

The Houston Rockets let Chandler Parsons go as they unsuccessfully chased Carmelo Anthony and Chris Bosh.  The Dallas Mavericks swooped in with a three-year, $46 million offer sheet which Parsons accepted.  Though Parsons was upset about the Rockets letting him go he seems to like his new city better as he described it in comparison to Houston during the Mavericks media day.
