On this day 15 years ago, we lost Aaliyah and members of her team in a plane crash when she was leaving an island after filming the video for “Rock The Boat.” Just days before, she had visited Hot 97 and was so excited as she spoke about the things she has on the way – including shooting the video that would ultimately be the last time we’d ever see her. We miss you, Babygirl. Listen to the interview below.

Yesterday afternoon, Rosenberg took to Twitter to call out Drake, upset that he took shots AGAIN at Meek Mill on stage in Meek’s own hometown of Philly. “Disappointed in @Drake. Someone has you really gassed bro,” Peter bemoaned. “dissing Hot in NYC, Meek in Philly … you’re an actor bro..you’re as soft as me.” Though he’s on vacation this week, Rosenberg called into the show this morning, and explained his state of mind when he made those comments – which led to quite the debate with Ebro, who’s all for standing his ground. Check out the convo below!

Over the weekend, Drake took the opportunity to throw more shots at Meek Mill, once in D.C. and then again in Meek’s own hometown of Philly. Some see it as sport and don’t feel bad for Meek because he started the beef, while others feel like Drake is taking it way too far (he did call him a “p*ssy,” after all,) and should let it go. Hot 97’s Peter Rosenberg falls into the category of the latter.

Joe Budden’s + Ebro In The Morning’s Reactions To Drake Bringing Out Eminem

ifwt_Em x Drake

Drake made quite the moment on stage last night in Detroit, bringing out the city’s hometown hero, Eminem, to perform their 2009 song, “Forever.” While this is a moment in and of itself, the impact it had was that much more, considering the rumors that circulated last week about the pair having beef because of Eminem’s close affiliation to Joe Budden. As you know, the rumor was started when Ebro referenced a convo with Drake where he joked about the possibility of a diss from Em on Joe‘s behalf, and listeners thought he was saying it was a serious conversation.

As he closed out the NYC run of his Summer Sixteen tour last night, Drake took one last jab at Hot 97, calling his show the “real Summer Jam” and questioning what Hot has ever done for New York. Once they got on air this morning, Ebro addressed it as part of the ‘Congratulations, You Played Yourself’ segment. Check out what he had to say below.
