Pebbles Releases A Statement About TLC Movie; Reveals Plans To Possibly Sue

The TLC biopic CrazySexyCool: A TLC Story premiered on VH1 last Monday night, and over a week later, their former manager Perri “Pebbles” Reid has finally issued a statement. If you’ve seen the film, you know that Pebbles wasn’t exactly portrayed in a positive light. In fact, she was made out to be a conniving, money-hungry record exec that took advantage of 3 young women that wanted to make it. Whether these are really the “facts” is up for debate, but one thing’s for sure: Pebbles is PISSED. (As was her son, who has already spoke out.) “This unprovoked attack has been extremely upsetting to me and my family,” Pebbles said in her statement, which she says took so long to release because she was so shocked. “‘CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story’ contains many false and defamatory statements and scenes about me.” Pebbles insists she has never cheated the group she “discovered, managed, and mentored,” and plans to defend her name by any means necessary. She says her attorney is already in the process of demanding retractions from VH1.

Sony Music Suing United Airlines Over In-Flight Music

Sony Music and various subsidiary labels brought a lawsuit against United Airlines, Inflight Productions and Rightscom this week, suing over copyrighted music being made available on their flights. According to the lawsuit, United is duplicating songs and videos, then installing the new copies to servers located on the plane, all without paying. Sony says they were in contact with United before the suit was filed, letting them know that they need the proper licenses, but nothing was ever done. Sony wants to literally stop the music with an injunction, plus is seeking airline profits and statutory damages.
