Lil B Reveals He Worked On Frank Ocean’s New Album

In a recent interview with Dazed, the Based God went into some detail about his role in the making of Frank Ocean’s highly anticipated sophomore album “Boys Don’t Cry.” With the botched news from the New York Times of an August 5th release date and the recent false promise of Apple reps confirming it would drop earlier this week, fans are starting to really get impatient. Here’s what Lil B had to say of his role in the making of it though, “Frank Ocean was amazing. He called me to come out and do some stuff for his album, Boys Don’t Cry, that’s coming out. Frank is amazing. He’s a beautiful man with a beautiful voice. He’s a very strong man, a very strong person. Anything that I can do to help him, I will.” When asked when or if he knew of a release date for the album, he said “If Frank releases. Let’s see what Frank releases. Frank has the material.” It sounds like it’s up to Ocean when and how he wants to roll this album out. If you ask me, I’m sticking with that November release date. Stay tuned for more updates. (Photos) NBA: Lil B & Fans Credit ‘Based God Curse’ For Kevin Durant & Thunder Losing Again

The Oklahoma City Thunder suffered an utter collapse, losing three straight games to the Golden State Warriors despite holding substantial leads in two of them.  The Warriors came back from 3-1 to win the western conference finals and go on to the NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers.  The Thunder once again found themselves falling short, including their star player Kevin Durant.  As you know, Lil B claims to have put the “Based God curse” on Durant five years ago after KD called his music “trash”.  Lil B said he would remove the curse if Durant apologized and played him in a one-on-one basketball game. Well, neither happened, and as Durant and the Thunder lost again last night, Lil B and his fans claimed the curse was still alive.

Behind The Lyrics: Lil B Disses The Weeknd On “4 Tha Record”

Lil B has put his Based God curse on a few people in the past, but he’s stuck to athletes for the most part, and with a fairly good reason – they would do his cooking dance but not pay homage. For some reason, he’s turned his ire to The Weeknd now, though he doesn’t explain why.

“Call me Lil Bars with XO Bars Saying f*ck The Weeknd, I can’t sing that soft”

…are some of the lines, and later in the song:

“A lot of suckers fake so I can’t respect it F*ck The Weeknd put that on record”

He hasn’t exactly put the Based God‘s curse on him, but still – unwarranted disses are never too fun! “4 Tha Record” will live on Lil B’s upcoming mixtape, Thugged Out Pissed Off.
