LinkedIn Purchased Pulse For HOW Much?!?!?!
LinkedIn just announced it acquired Pulse, a popular news app, for $9o Million. Last month rumors were circulating that LinkedIn indeed purchased the company but no official announcement was released until now. The deal is worth $90 million, which includes 10 percent in cash and 90 percent in stock.
LinkedIn Adds New Facebook Style Feature!!!!
LinkedIn announced on its blog today, that the company has added a new feature that allows users to mention their connections and companies in conversations. Similar to Facebook, when a user starts to type the name of a connection or a company in their status update box or a comment field on the Homepage, a list of possible connections will comedown and the user can pick from there.

LinkedIn is planning on making a number upgrades to its search engine with the intention of making it smarter and more streamlined. Last year, 5.7 billion professionally oriented searches were done on LinkedIn. The company sees millions of professionals, everyday find others and get found through LinkedIn search.

If your familiar with Linkedin you know the business social media network, you know people give out endorsements. The endorsement feature was rolled out last fall and it highlights certain skills of a user.
