(Video) NBA: Nick Young: We can’t let one guy determine everything. It’s hard to talk to a 5-year champ

The Los Angeles Lakers are currently 2-12 at the bottom of the Western Conference.  The major issue they have which is constantly being discussed, is their lack of ball movement.  Eventually it all goes back to Kobe Bryant, who isn’t shooting well this season but is still taking a great deal of shot attempts.  Following the Lakers 111-77 loss to the Golden State Warriors, Nick Young was asked about these issues.

(Video) NBA: Lakers Coach Byron Scott is a Total Kobe Bryant Fanboy

Los Angeles Lakers coach Byron Scott is totally inept and is basically on borrowed time.  Scott often contradicts himself, the only thing that remains constant is his adoration for Kobe Bryant.  The Black Mamba has been struggling with his shot this season but it hasn’t stopped him from taking majority of the attempts on the team.  Scott is counting on Kobe to lead the team’s ball movement efforts, something even Kobe found amusing. At practice Monday, Scott was asked how Kobe’s penchant for isolation hoops was damaging the Lakers ball movement plans; his answer?  Basically Kobe is Kobe which means he can do whatever he wants.

NBA: Kobe Bryant on Lakers Possibly Ending Warriors Win Streak: “I’ve seen stranger things happen”

The Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Portland Trailblazers 107-93 on Sunday, dropping them to 2-11 and the bottom of the Western Conference.  The Golden State Warriors on the other hand beat the Denver Nuggets 118-105 on Sunday, bringing them to an NBA record tying (1993-94 Houston Rockets & 1948-49 Washington Capitols) 15-0 start at not only the top of the Western Conference but leading the league overall.  On Tuesday night the Lakers and Warriors will face off.  It’s expected by many that the Warriors will win and move up to a record breaking 16-0 start but can the Lakers pull off the upset?

(Video) NBA: Kobe Bryant: ‘I Freaking Suck. I Just Can’t Make a Shot’

If there’s one thing about Kobe Bryant, it’s that he’s brutally honest even when talking about himself.  Through three games Bryant has looked older, slower, without the same lift after his injuries. He’s averaged 17 shots a game, hitting 31.4 percent of them (20.7 percent from three where he’s launching more than nine shots a night), and he’s struggling on defense. He assessed his performance last night after a 3-of-15 shooting and loss to Dallas, and he didn’t hold back.

NBA: Lakers Plan to Transition Metta World Peace Into an Assistant Coach

Back in the day Ron Artest as a coach would sound ludicrous, but he’s no longer that person.  He now goes by Metta World Peace, that latter of which he hopes to share as well as plenty of other tips to young players.  MWP made the Lakers’ roster because talented second-year man (basically a rookie after his injury) Julius Randle bonded with him as a mentor. World Peace is a former All-Star and Defensive Player of the Year who has tips he can pass along to young players, and he may get through to them in a way old coaches do not.
