Fitted Of The Day: New York Knicks – New Era 59Fifty

I will give the New York Knicks New Era 59 Fifty the nod for today especially knowing that Ron Artest just recently signed with the New York Knicks to give them that extra push on defense. Big Ups to them on that. If you are interested in the fitted go to 4uCaps. Hit the jump for more pics of the cap.

NBA: Knicks & Nuggets Interested in Nate Robinson

Though he has been in the league for many years, Nate Robinson really made a name for himself when he put the shorthanded Bulls on his back during their playoff run last season.  Now a free agent Robinson has found himself without a team due to a slightly crowded backcourt (return of Rose) and his disagreements with coach Tom Thibodeau.  Still Robinson would be a good pickup for several teams looking for additional scoring and apparently the Nuggets and Knicks are interested.  Read more after the jump.

NBA: Shots Fired!! Shaq Says The Nets Run New York Now, ” All Day, Every Day”

Shaq loves to talk sh*t. Always wants to stir things up with comments, but that is how he has always been. I am beginning to think the NBA has paid people off to talk up the Knicks/Nets rivalry. The league thought the rivalry would of started on its own this past season, but you can’t force that. I do not think it will be a real rivalry until the new Nets show they can sustain being good for a while. The Knicks have ran New York for too long to suddenly give the Nets respect as a hated rival. Maybe down the road, but that still didn’t stop Shaq from running off at the mouth. Check it after the jump.

NBA: San Antonio Spurs Reportedly Interested in Kenyon Martin

The Knicks re-signed J.R Smith and Pablo Prigioni but let Chris Copeland walk.  While much of the roster is set, a decision still has to be made with forward Kenyon Martin.

NBA Report: Knicks & Raptors Agree on Andrea Bargnani Trade

The Knicks are pretty cash strapped and won’t be able to make much of an impact during free agency.  Still in an attempt to upgrade their roster they’ve entered into a trade with the Toronto Raptors to acquire Andrea Bargnani.  Read more after the jump.

NBA: While Defending Doc Rivers Jeff Van Gundy Admits He Regrets Quitting as the Knicks Head Coach

Being the head coach of the New York Knicks is no easy task.  The media in New York is harsher than most (not homers), the fans are overly expectant and the scrutiny is high.  Still Jeff Van Gundy stuck it out for many years and was regarded as one of the best coaches in the league before he finally decided to walk away from the Knicks.  While speaking on Doc Rivers decision to leave the Celtics and coach the Clippers, Van Gundy looked back at the decision he made and says it’s something he still regrets.  Read more after the jump.
