NFL: Mark Sanchez “Jets Are Destined For Great Stuff”

I almost couldn’t type the headline without laughing. Jets destined for greatness Mark? Really? Are we talking about the same Jets here? In a interview yesterday Sanchez tells of a talk he had with Rex Ryan the other day, where he suggests Ryan told him he will be the starter next season. He tried to focus on a few positive things to take away from this past season, which I guess you have to do when the entire NFL lost respect for the organization. It wasn’t so bad that the Jets were bad on the field, that is pretty common, but its the circus the Jets became off the field that turned everybody off from the team. I do not see many free agents wanting to come there in the near future. They better hope Darrell Revis comes back to 100% and that defense plays how it used to be because I just do not see Sanchez developing much further than he has. NFL:(Photos) This NFL Coach Is Not Worrying About Being Fired

While a bunch of NFL coaches are getting pink slips today and bringing in the new year jobless, Sean Payton couldn’t be happier. Fresh off his year long suspension finally being over when the Saints season ended yesterday, he signed a 5 year contract extension. We all know he ain’t going anywhere for quite a while. He was so happy he decided to perform on stage . And of course, what song did he sing? ” When the Saints come marching in”. Check the gallery above for some pics. IamJOE357

NFL: Breaking News- Bears Fire Lovie Smith, Bills Fire Chan Gailey

Now this firing I do NOT agree with. Lovie Smith, coach of the Chicago Bears has just been fired. This is the biggest surprise of all the coaches who are being let go today. The Bears are routinely competing for the playoffs, and the players love him. Sometimes in sports things just do not make sense. The Buffalo Bills also just announced they are letting coach Chan Gailey go. That move does not come as a surprise as the Bills once again were a non factor in the AFC. Today has been dubbed “Black Monday” around the NFL , as this is the day each year after a season ends where some coaches are let go and teams go in different directions. I think the Bears are making a bad move . Check the gallery above for Chan Gailey. IamJOE357

NFL: (Sources) More NFL Coaches Will Head To The Unemployment Line

This news could be coming in all day today. Various NFL coaches could be losing their jobs today. So far Andy Reid of the Eagles has been told he is on the way out. Romeo Crennel of the Kansas City Chiefs was just told he is going to be fired today. Crennel had a tough season in Kansas City, especially with the tragic events that took place with the murder/suicide of Jovan Belcher. The Chiefs underachieved this season as well. Check the gallery above for a couple more coaches who will be on the way out today. And stay tuned because this could be an ongoing update all day. IamJOE357

NFL: Playoff Schedule Announced

So it is a wrap ladies & gentleman. The 2012 NFL regular season is officially over. Dam that went fast. If you are like me, you are depressed today knowing your team is sitting home and will be watching the playoffs on TV right with me ( Dam NY Giants!! ). But if your one of the few lucky ones who’s team made the playoffs well congratulations and whoopty-dam-doo! LOL, sorry had my moment of hating right there. I am actually very excited for the playoffs. From everything to see if Peyton Manning can come all the way back and win the super bowl after a year off. To Adrian Peterson literally carrying the Vikings to the playoffs. To the excitement of 3 rookie quarterbacks leading their teams to the playoffs. As a football fan I can’t wait to see what happens. With that said read after the jump for the full playoff schedule. IamJOE357
