(Photos) NBA: LOL Joel Embiid Trolls LeBron James After Sixers Beat Cavaliers

Things were crazy in the basketball world on Monday night.  The Cleveland Cavaliers traded Dion Waiters to the Oklahoma City Thunder and received J.R Smith and Iman Shumpert from the New York Knicks in a three-team trade.  Shortly after that announcement, the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Cavaliers 95-92 securing just their fifth win of the season.


NBA: Adam Silver on Tanking: “I absolutely don’t think any team is trying to lose”

NBA commissioner Adam Silver says that the perception of tanking in the league is greater than the reality of it.  He’s either really delusional or just trying to save face and not make the league look bad.  I’m going with the latter.


NBA: Evan Turner on Getting Booed in Philly: “Jesus was hated too”

When a player joins a new team and returns to play against their old team, they usually get booed; well depending on how they left.  Turner was traded from the Philadelphia 76ers to the Indiana Pacers before joining the Boston Celtics.  When Turner made his return to the City of Brotherly Love, there wasn’t much love there even though he didn’t leave voluntarily.

Sixers’ K.J. McDaniels is known for his highlights and rather entertaining way of playing ball. Well, the 21-year old rookie, freak athlete has struck again, this time LITERALLY. The crazy block over Raptors’ guard, Greivis Vasquez, that resembled a hardcore volleyball spike, turned out to be more destructive than everyone thought. Philladelphia 76ers did it, they finally won a game! The Sixers beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 85-77 on Wednesday night stopping their losing streak at 17 games.  It also narrowly stopped them from breaking the 2009-10 New Jersey Nets record of the worst start to an NBA season when they went 0-18.  Sixers celebrate first win with dancing and tons of congratulations, including from former Sixers legend, Allen Iverson.

Recently it’s been a topic of basketball discussion and Eric Bledsoe agreed that the Kentucky Wildcats could beat the winless Philadelphia 76ers in a seven-game series.  Well Bledsoe and the Suns faced off against the Sixers last night and Noel took the first opportunity available to send Bledsoe a message.
