(Video) 50 Cent Explains Why “Power” Is Better Then “Empire”

Last night, 50 Cent held the official screening for season two of “Power” and invited members of the press to enjoy the show. Afterwards, the exclusive audience got an opportunity to speak with the cast in a Q&A hosted by MTV’s Rob Markman. 50 Cent also spoke to several publications about why his show outshines other shows **cough cough** “Empire.” Find out why he thinks his show is better after the jump! Hip Hop Wired got the opportunity to speak with 50 Cent about the second season of his TV series “Power.” The Starz production has garnered a lot of national attention, especially after its rival series “Empire” aired last year. 50 has been known to fire shots at the FOX series starring Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson. However, Fif has taken a more mature approach by acknowledging the success of both shows. “The pressure was for Empire to have success period, because we came first,” 50 said. “Empire’s success is great. I’m happy because it adds focus to not just African-Americans but other ethnicities being able to play lead roles and have huge audiences.” 50 also feels that the amount of competition that has developed over time is good for both shows. In a sense, 50 is encouraging the battle between hip-hop’s most popular television series. “At this point I think it’s obvious both shows are a success [but] are extremely different. Hosted by Time Warner Cable was the star-studding STARZ season two premiere of Power. The fun and excitement took place at the Best Buy Theater in Gotham, on Tuesday evening. Of course, executive producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson was there. Fif was an unstoppable force as he also showed up – with his clothes on – to perform with G-Unit, Troy Ave, Jeremih, Machine Gun Kelly and Elle Varner. Check out the performances after the jump.

Ever since the battle of the shows went down, things have been rocky from the looks of it between Fif and Taraji. However, last night at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards, The Effen Vodka creator put his differences past Taraji and made amends with her. 50 captioned their photo, “@tarajiphenson pretty ass was there looking good. Nice! LaLa Anthony Has A Topless Sex Scene On “Power”!

LaLa Anthony confirmed that she has her first sex scene this season on 50 Cent’s television series, “Power”. Anthony says she is topless in the scene, and of course, Carmelo isn’t a fan of the idea. According to her, he said ” I know it’s your job, but I don’t want to watch..” It’s understandable, but if YOU want to watch, episode 4 of “Power” airs on June 27th!
