To the average consumer they were both the samething in the first place, I personally never heard anyone say they were getting a RIM Blackberry, the company and device went together for a lot of folks. The announcement came earlier today when they announced their newer devices the Z10 and The Q10. What does this mean for RIM/Blackberry, nothing much but building a stronger brand name for itself and trying to dig themselves out of a hole RIM created. Hopefully the name change will bring a new change on how the company will be ran from here on out.
Looks like RIM will be getting a big boost with potential sales with a commercial in next weeks Super Bowl. The commercial will focus on their big release of their BB10 device, RIM confirmed the news yesterday. The commercial will be RIM’s big debut as a company, a first for the Canada-based company which they have a commercial in the Super Bowl. ”A Super Bowl commercial is a great opportunity to show the re-designed, re-engineered and re-invented BlackBerry to tens of millions of consumers on the largest advertising stage of the year,” RIM’s chief marketing officer, Frank Boulben, said in a statement.” Hopefully this will get RIM more exposure for their new device since they haven’t released a new device in over a year.
Last week Lenovo’s CFO said that the company had an interest in putting a bid on mobile company RIM to build up it’s mobile business. It not looks the company is now back tracking on it’s statement. The CFO said “Lenovo is very focused on growing its business, both organically and through M&A”. Either way investing in RIM did’nt look like a good idea in the first place. Lenovo should be looking it’s mobile though it’s own company. Even RIM does have new devices dropping this year, we have to see how the public responds to them when they are released.
Another week and another leak image of RIM’s Blackberry device. I’m sure if you’ve made up your mind on the device you don’t have to see anymore images but if you have’nt here are more just in case your on the fence.
Computer company Lenovo said they are looking at options to increase mobile business, and one option they are looking at is sliding company (for now at least) RIM the makers of the Blackberry. The CFO of Lenovo said they are definitely looking to increase mobile games, and in the process includes buying BlackBerry manufacturer Research in Motion“We are looking at all opportunities — RIM and many others,” he said. “We’ll have no hesitation if the right opportunity comes along that could benefit us and shareholders.” If I were Lenovo i Would look into a deal after RIM releases their Blackberry 10 device later this month.
I thought the Blackberry craze was over, apparently not. Brian Heffren of Middletown, New York went out and got a tattoo of the Blackberry 10 Logo and website Crackberry logo. Crackberry.com is currently running a what would you do for a Blackberry 10 device contest. Within 10 months that device will be obsolete this guy is nuts .
Seems RIM is on a verge of a real comeback, the mobile company recieved more than 15k app submissions were submitted by app devs in just 2 days. I’m sure RIM is overwhelmed by the submissions by the debs, so much so RIM is wokring around the clock trying to approve apps for the BlackBerry App World in BlackBerry 10 store. RIM said they are looking to approve all 15k apps for BB10 launch later this month.
With less than 2 weeks until RIM formally announce their new BB10 device, tech site Techradar got their hands on a manual for the touchscreen device with real details about the device. And according to the device’s manual the new BB10 comes stacked with a “4.2-inch 1280×768 touchscreen, an 8 MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and 1080p Full HD video recording, a 2 MP front-facing camera with 720p HD video recording, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage space, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and a 1,800 mAh battery.” Is this device a little too late for RIM?
RIM is ready to launch their BBM 10 devices, we’ve seen everything from the fuzzy pics to high quality from every angle. RIM is ready to launch their device, after all they have’nt released a new device in over a year. Before RIM releases the actucal device a number of advertising images were leaked, highlithing the device of course. After the break take a look.
