NFL: Richard Sherman Says Patriots Won’t Be Punished Because Robert Kraft & Roger Goodell Are Close

The Seattle Seahawks arrived in Arizona for their Super Bowl XLIX match up against the New England Patriots and of course all the journalists gathered around to speak with outspoken cornerback Richard Sherman.  He was asked about the major topic of discussion, Deflate Gate and as expected said something controversial regarding Robert Kraft & Roger Goodell.

The Super Bowl will take place next Sunday between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks but instead of beefing up the war between the two teams, a dark cloud hangs over the league (yea another one).  This time it’s Deflate Gate; the Patriots are accused of deflating their footballs prior to the AFC Championship game against the Indianapolis Colts in which they won 45-7.  Everyone has been weighing in with their opinion including NBA color commentator Mark Jackson.

NFL: Roger Goodell Says No Team Can Move to Los Angeles in 2015

As if there were any questions, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell put an end to them this week when he told the San Diego Chargers, Oakland Raiders and St. Louis Rams that there will not be a team that moves to Los Angeles for next season, according to league sources.

NFL: Adrian Peterson Loses His Appeal For Indefinite Suspension, Must Wait Till Next year

Adrian Peterson had his appeal for his indefinite suspension and to get back on the field this season denied just a short time ago by the independent arbitrator that was listening to both sides. In upholding the NFL’s initial ruling that Peterson violated the league’s personal conduct policy with his child abuse charges, Harold Henderson concluded that Peterson “has not demonstrated that the process and procedures surrounding his discipline were not fair and consistent.” Wrote Henderson: “He was afforded all the protections and rights to which he is entitled, and I find no basis to vacate or reduce the discipline.” Peterson is now expected to appeal one more time at the federal level. With today’s ruling, he would have to wait until at least April 15th, 2015 to be reinstated.

NFL: President Obama Rips NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell Over Domestic Violence

I am personally so happy that Roger Goodell is facing such a negative backlash of his handling of the Ray Rice incident and how it has become public. Goodell has always been very suspect when it comes to handing down discipline for players and even fans alike have complained very loudly about the conflict of interest because Goodell not only hands out the punishments, he was responsible for appeals as well. Due to his big mess up in this situation, the most powerful person in the country is now getting on his a** and he deserves it!

(Video) NFL: Seahawks’ Richard Sherman & Doug Baldwin Goes IN On The League During Press Conference

When the NFL created a policy that required players to talk to the media, I’m pretty sure this isn’t what they had in mind. We are fully aware that Richard Sherman is never shy to reveal his thoughts. Recently, Marshawn Lynch was served with a hefty fine after ignoring reporters, and his teammates held a press conference and shockingly discussed the fine and other factors that might land them in hot water. Hit the jump for details.
