9 Celebs Name Their Favorite Lil Wayne Song

Today, Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V was supposed to FINALLY be released, over 3 years and many delays since the fourth installment in the now-classic series, but unfortunately, that’s not happening…and may not for a while. On Thursday afternoon, the normally private Tunechi took to Twitter to air out Cash Money’s dirty laundry, and revealed that not only is he beefing with Birdman, but that C5 is the reason behind it, so it likely won’t see the light of day until he’s out of his deal. And if you know anything about how contracts and their legalities work – this could take forever! So, while we mourn the delay of C5, XXL caught up with 9 rappers and producers to take a walk down memory lane in Weezyville. Check out Jadakiss, Meek Mill, Lloyd Banks and more below as they pick their favorite Lil Wayne cut of all time. As for me, I have to go with his “UOENO” freestyle from 2013’s Dedication 5. I’ve been following Wayne’s career since 2005, but this one has just stuck out to me as my fav to sing along to! Let us know what your favorite Weezy song is in the comments!

(Video) According To His Manager, Everything Between Lil Wayne & Cash Money Is A-Okay!

Yesterday [Thurs., Dec. 4], Lil Wayne took his feelings to Twitter to go OFF on Baby and Cash Money as a whole. According to Weezy, he and his creativity are both prisoners of the label. The delay in ‘Tha Carter V’ has lasted longer than expected, and well, he’s clearly over it. Moving on, if you can remember in Yo Gotti’s “Errbody” remix Lil Wayne claims, “I ain’t got Instagram,” but he may be taking his latest stunt to the ‘Gram. The “Only” emcee posts a photo of himself with the caption, “I am a prisoner and so is my creativity Again,I am truly sorry and I don’t blame ya if ya fed up with waiting 4 me & this album. But thk u.” This being similar to what was tweeted. Now, after being seen leaving the Penthouse, Tunechi’s manager Cortez Bryant told TMZ that everything is pretty much two-thumbs up. Wayne is, “good,” he says. Why are we suppose to believe Cortez? “I wouldn’t be in the club. Don’t you see me smiling,” he says. I’ll take that to mean, when Cortez is caught with an upside down frown or if he doesn’t make frequent visits to parties, Lil Wayne and Cash Money have fallen off. Only time – or Mack Maine’s Twitter account – will tell what’s going on with the YMCMB crew. Check out the jump for more.
