Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant has left his agency, Landmark Sports and is expected to join Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports, reports the Sports Business Journal.

Landmark Sports also represents Los Angeles Lakersguard Kobe Bryant and Houston Rockets guard James Harden, among others.

Durant, 24, was second in the NBA in scoring this season and averaged 28.1 points, 7.9 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game while shooting 51% from the field. He finished second in NBA MVP voting in 2012-13 and was named first-team All-NBA for the fourth straight season.

A source told NBA reporter Adrian Wojnarowski that Durant “doesn’t want a traditional NBA agent anymore” and that “KD wants Jay Z to handle his branding. He had a chance to be with his idol and couldn’t say no.”

Jay-Z is working to sell his minority stake in the Brooklyn Nets after launching a sports representation agency. In order to represent NBA players, he can’t own any part of a team.According to a recent report, Jay-Z still hadn’t completed that, which means he can’t technically represent an NBA player. Which might be why Roc Nation Sports said “no comment” when asked about Durant.

“We are honored and blessed to have worked on behalf of Kevin for a brief period of time,”Pelinka told Sports Business Journal.
