Apple

Boston University recently filed a lawsuit against Apple, claiming the electronic giant infringed on one of its patents. The University is saying that one of its professors, Theodore D. Moustakas filed a patent in 1997 for a semiconductor that creates blue LED lasers. The school would have to prove that the professor was intending to make a business out of selling the technology. They would like the stop of the sale of iPads, iPhones, and iPods, all of which has that technology in it. This is not the first time this institution has gone after a company with the same exact lawsuit. Apparently Kindle Fire, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 and Chromebooks all have the same technology which was patented by the professor. And some of these companies which they have not disclosed which ones are now paying a licensing agreement.
