One of the features to the app is downloadable content. This means that it will promote content from all three of Apple’s stores that usually cost money but will be available for FREE for a limited time via this new app. The new app update is to go hand in hand with new initiative in Apple Stores so when a new iOs device is sold they will be encouraged to install the new Apple Store app. Apple is putting this into place for more users to potentially buy more hardware. Perhaps this has a lot to do with the fact that Android is coming for Apple when it comes to total app downloads .. hmm ?!
